This is an introduction to a case of "preservation work and disaster recovery work" and "void filling work" conducted at the Higo Tunnel in Yamae Village, Kumamoto Prefecture. In early July 2020, record heavy rainfall in the Kumamoto Prefecture area caused large-scale river flooding and inundation damage, particularly along the Kumagawa River.
